REF: BF-GME-020What BattleFleet: Pacific War's Full Version Contained
Registering BattleFleet: Pacific War unlocked a considerably larger game than the free version: 35 more missions, two extra campaigns, 28 new unit classes, and 25 additional Death-Match and Free Hunt scenarios beyond the standard release.
What the Full Version Added
Registering BattleFleet: Pacific War unlocked a substantially larger game than the free standard version described on the BattleFleet: Pacific War overview: 28 new ship, plane and submarine unit classes, 35 new standalone missions, 2 additional campaigns totalling 25 missions, 25 new Death-Match and Free Hunt scenarios, and 15 new officer ranks, together with free updates to later versions.
Missions and Campaigns
The standard mission set already carried players through the Pacific theatre in roughly chronological order, from the December 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor through the carrier battles of the Coral Sea and Midway, on to the fighting around the Philippines, Iwo Jima and Leyte, playable from the American, Japanese, British/Commonwealth or German side. The full version's 35 additional standalone missions and its 2 extra campaigns, totalling 25 more missions, extended that same four-nation structure rather than opening a new theatre, adding dozens more named engagements to each navy's mission list. Every mission, standard or added, was still built around one of four objectives: conquer enemy ports, defend friendly ports, destroy enemy ships, or escort a transport convoy to a friendly port.
Unit Classes
The 28 new unit classes built on a standard roster that already ran to more than forty named types once every weight class was counted: transports, submarines, patrol and torpedo boats, frigates and corvettes, destroyers, cruisers, battleships, aircraft carriers, fighters, bombers and coast artillery. The additions followed the same pattern of weight-class variants (light, standard, heavy, fleet and so on) established in that standard roster and in the earlier BattleFleet 1939, whose own enumerated list ran to 45 named ship, submarine and plane types.
Death-Match and Free Hunt Scenarios
Beyond the mission and campaign structure, the standard release already offered Death-Match battles decided by a single objective, destroying every enemy ship, plane and artillery piece first, and Free Hunt scenarios, which used the same win condition but dropped a player into an open-ended fleet action tied to a named commander, theatre or unit type rather than a scripted battle. The full version's 25 new scenarios followed those same two formats rather than adding a third, giving players more named engagements built around individual fleets and commanders alongside the standard set.
